New TJC Standards FAQ: Unlicensed Persons Acting as Scribes

The Joint Commission (TJC) has released new Standards FAQ information related to the use of unlicensed persons acting as scribes for physicians and licensed independent practitioners.

The FAQ clarifies TJC's position on who is considered a scribe, the use of scribes, and the definition of "verbal orders" related to entries by a scribe.
