"The Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) and the Committee on
Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools (CACMS) recently formalized a
long-standing partnership through a memorandum of understanding. Although the
two groups have worked together for more than 50 years to accredit medical
education programs in the United States and Canada, they did not have an
agreement codifying the relationship until now."
